Rick and Marc have been playing together since they were 14. Their high school dance band, Utopian Monk, was the most popular band in town (Anacortes) and a staple at schools, dance clubs and grange halls, social organizations and the concert stage. Now the band has reformed, and Marc and Rick have found a new love in performing as a duo – not only Utopian Monk music, but many other songs including classics by the Texas/southern storytellers (Lyle Lovett, Rodney Crowell, Guy Clark, Robert Keen) as well as old favorites (Mr. Bojangles, Ghost Riders in the Sky and Gentle on my Mind) and a few originals thrown in.
